DISCLAIMER: Actual performance might differ from the above calculations since these assume specific conditions and do not include all potentially relevant variables. One potential error source is that TS values may differ somewhat from substrate to substrate. Another is the simplified dichotomy between tropical countries on the one hand and cold countries on the other. Additional sources of potential differences are that the kind of electricity generator connected to the system may well differ from the one with which we have calculated the examples; that agricultural waste is a broad concept; and the definition of activated sludge, etc. Also, heat generated of course depends on the mode of burning the biogas. All in all, the above calculation examples are meant to be viewed as theoretical examples upon which the user may start building his or her understanding of the systems that FOV Biogas supplies. Calculations are rounded in order to decrease impression of exactness.
